Current Booktubeathon Status

Currently, I am working on the novel, “Fire” by Kristin Cashore. This book will fulfill the challenge of reading a book with yellow on the cover. I just started it this morning and I am about half way through. It is an entrancing novel about those who are graced with special powers and their rein on the world around them. This is the companion novel of the Graceling Realm series.

Currently, I have completed 2 books out of the 7 for this readathon. I have finished “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” by JK Rowling, book 4 of the Harry Potter series and “City of Ashes” by Cassandra Clare, book 2 of the Mortal Instruments series. These two book fulfill 3 of the 7 challenges. The challenges they have filled are, reading a book by your favorite author, reading and watching a book to movie adaptation, and reading a book discovered by booktube.
I will be getting a couple book reviews up soon throughout this readathon but I have not decided if I am going to review books that are sequels to others due to the spoilers from the previous books.

I would love your opinion on what you’d like to hear about.

I would also love to hear to you are participating in this fun readathon!

I Don’t Want to be Crazy by Samantha Schutz

This novel shows a side of anxiety that I would think a lot of people do not normally see. The main character is struggling every day due to this disease called panic anxiety. It is written beautifully through verse and is a really quick read.

The side of anxiety many people do not see are shown graphically through this novel. They way is shows how the young girl is thinking just allows you to see things through her eyes.

This girl goes away to college her freshman year. Before this, she has never had any problems with anxiety. Never once had a panic attack. But, within weeks college has become too much. The pressure from the school, her friends and her family start to drive her into a whole that she does not know how to get out of. Will she ever?

This novel shows all the different sides and the pain those who suffer from anxiety disorder struggle with on a day to day basis. It shows how differently those with anxiety see things and think about things. The little things are a huge deal to those who have anxiety.

If you want to read a book to learn about a psychological disorder, this would be a great book for you.

Falling Kingdoms By Morgan Rhodes

Morgan Rhodes is working on a series called the Falling Kingdoms. This is a series that is placed in a world where there are 3 kingdoms. The three kingdoms are Auranos, Limeros, Paelsia. These three kingdoms each follow a different person within the kingdoms. The three main characters are Princess Cleo, Mangus, and Jonas. These three characters are deeply connected to the different kingdoms.

Princess Cleo is the second daughter of the King in Auranos. Her father rules this kingdom and her sister must take over the crown when her father dies. Cleo is glad for that because she was never raised to be the queen. But her world comes crashing down when a terrible death strikes her.

Magnus is the man to rule Limeros after his father. Limeros is known to be rules by fear and intimidation. Magnus does not believe that he is like his father. He wants his father to be over thrown. But Magnus does something where he realizes he may not be that different then his father.

Jonas is a rebel within Paelsia. His brother was killed and he wants to revenge his death. He wants to find those who are responsible and take their lives because they took his brothers. He rebels against the system but could eventually turn into more then just being a rebel.

Who will survive the war that is coming?

This novel shows the fight between three kingdoms and the greed of one. It is full of action and heart ache. It starts with a bloody scene and they do not stop throughout the book. Morgan Rhodes’ writing is detailed and addictive. I could not put this book down for about 3 hours and I didn’t want the novel to be over. I just wanted it to keep going.
